Animal Testing Research: Facts

Tests they do on Animals in Labs:

- Workers drill holes into cats' skulls, screw metal restraint posts into their head and implant steel coils into their eyes.

- One test has a capsule that has ticks inside. This capsule is strapped onto rabbits so that the ticks can feed off of them.

- Because of these tests, animals can have lasting physical issues such as having weakened muscles and damaged ligaments.

- Monkeys are experimented on by being trapped into chairs. Their heads are clamped into metal collars. When trapped into these chairs, they are put into cages.

- In some labs, workers drop mice into a beaker of water as make them swim to avoid drowning.

- Some labs make dogs breath in smoke from cigarettes for months.

- Mice are cut up whilst being conscious.

- Cats are paralysed deafened and drowned.
