Illustrators that Interest me: The AOI

Yiran Xia: 

I have chosen this illustrator because I find their work interesting based on the character designs, colour schemes, patterns and style. I think that the character designs are expressive and show personality. This is presented within their facial expressions, colour scheme and body language. I like the graphic design kind of style that is used and they've used that effectively so that they can add a combination of simple and detailed lines/patterns. 

BICHA:

I like this piece of work by BICHA because of the animal theme and how they've used a realistic style. They've made illustrations of each anima and made it into a pattern to apply onto packaging. The colour schemes are quite neutral. Even though I usually prefer bolder colour schemes, I think the colours on this packaging do work effectively. 

Tania Yakunova:

I've chosen this illustrator because they've experimented with the uses of illustration and ceramics. They used these two methods to try to express the feelings of sadness and despair. I think that this has been done effectively as they've used visual storytelling and communication on objects that people can use. So there is that reminder for viewers about this topic/ reminders.
