Animal Testing: Sketches

I have now used my research as inspiration so that I can start to develop some ideas/designs.  I have used facts that I've found on websites such as the PeTA and the RSPCA.

To begin with, I've lightly made some sketches in pencil and drawn my illustrations at a small scale. I've done this because my sketches will have to be developed even further later on. A few of these sketches can be improved. Such as: the rabbit illustration on the first image. The size of the needle needs to be scaled up so that it looks more intimidating. Also, I think the expression on the rabbits face could be exaggerated more.

As I'm focusing on how animals are tested on for cosmetics, I've drawn a mixture of animal and make-up sketches. On the final image, I've combined the two elements together as there is a design of a rabbits head on a mascara wand. I thought that would be a successful spot illustration.

I now need to continue developing my ideas/ designs by drawing more illustrations. I'm going to develop them by scanning them into Photoshop, Eventually, I will apply colour by using the colour palettes that I've already gathered previously.
